"The Mortlake Art Show 2016 committee gathered likeminded artists, if artists can ever be that, together in a well managed exhibition venue.
I was humbled to win 'Best in Show', judged by Michelle Shearer. Also, planning my painting for next year already." |
"I enjoyed being involved in the 2016 Mortlake Art Show, from start to finish it was a well run event.
From wine and canapés on the Friday night, to the bagpipes and poetry. I thoroughly enjoyed the event, and look forward to attending next year. "

"Mortlake Visual Arts Group provided a great example last year (2015) at their Queen’s Birthday long weekend Art Show of how to organise a successful, enjoyable and well attended local event.
The Show featured artworks from many artists, past and present; and the wide spectrum of styles and subject matters featured in the artworks contributed to a very inclusive and interesting exhibition. I’m looking forward to this year’s event; and wish the organisers all the best with their endeavours. I encourage all established and budding artists to enter their artwork; the public greatly enjoyed viewing the impressive artistic talent inherent in our local artists at last year’s exhibition." |

"As a novice I enjoyed being part of the 2015 Mortlake Art Show, as not only did I get to appreciate the works of past and present artists of various ages from our district but I met lovely local people too during the set-up and show.
The experience inspired me to continue my 'dabbling' and to try and allow more time for further experimentation and practice." |
