Conditions of Entry - 2025


EXHIBITORS
There is no theme and we encourage all types of media and all levels of experiences.
There is no entry fee.
It is the responsibility of the artist to ensure that all work offered meets all conditions of entry.

CRITERIA & CONDITIONS FOR SELECTED ART WORKS
All art works must be original and completed in the last 12 months since the Mortlake Art Show in 2024. ​Works must not have been exhibited at the Mortlake Art Show in previous years.
Multiple works of art from each artist will be considered subject to space availability. Multiple entries must be ranked in order of the artist's preference for display. Please contact us if you wish to check before submitting your entry.

COMPETITION
Entries will be judged in 2025 for cash prizes: “Best in Show”, “Emerging Artist (Under Age 16)”, “Photography”, “People’s Choice” and “Packers’ Choice”. Other awards may be presented at the Judge’s discretion.

DISPLAY
It is expected that all artworks will remain installed for the duration of the Show.
All works must be ready to be hung or presented. Pieces may not be accepted or displayed unless a suitable hanging mechanism is attached to them.

SALE OF ART WORKS
A charge of 20% of the total sale amount of each artwork, including merchandise, will be charged by the organisers as commission.
No responsibility will be taken by the organisers for any outcomes that may be the result of sale transactions.

ADVERTISING
We welcome your merchandise i.e. postcards, cards, prints, jewellery etc. (subject to space). Please provide all that is needed for their display and/or discuss with us.
The information you provide on the entry form may be used to assist with the compilation of a show catalogue and for promotional purposes for this and future years of the art show.

OPENING EVENING
There will be no opening evening in 2025.

​REGISTRATION
PLEASE ensure that your entry form is clear and legible, especially phone numbers and email addresses. Photos of your artwork are appreciated (pre-framing is preferred i.e. not under glass due to reflections).
Registration closes at 5pm on Friday 30 May 2025. Late entries will not be accepted without prior approval.
Artwork must be delivered to the Mortlake RSL Hall at 15 Shaw Street between 10am and 2pm on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday 2, 3 and 4 June 2025. On application, art works may be lodged earlier at the Mortlake Community Centre at 101 Dunlop Street, Mortlake.

​CAVEATS
No responsibility will be taken by the organisers for lost, stolen or damaged work(s). It is your responsibility to insure items, if required.
It is your responsibility to ensure the safe delivery and pick up of your artwork(s) to and from the event. If you are unable to make arrangements for some reason, please contact one of the organisers.
